{{#invoke:Infobox_gene|getTemplateData|QID=Q18049585}}Kinesin family member 19 (KIF19) is a protein in humans encoded by the KIF19 gene. It is part of the kinesin family of motor proteins.

Function

KIF19 is involved in cancer metastasis, as well as cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.{{Cite journal |last1=Eisenberg |first1=Samuel C. |last2=Dey |first2=Abhinav |last3=Birnbaum |first3=Rayna |last4=Sharp |first4=David J. |date=2020-09-04 |title=The kinesin-8 member Kif19 alters microtubule dynamics, suppresses cell adhesion, and promotes cancer cell invasion |url=http://biorxiv.org/lookup/doi/10.1101/2020.09.04.282657 |language=en |doi=10.1101/2020.09.04.282657|s2cid=221589215 }}
