Kallikrein-11 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KLK11 gene.{{cite journal |vauthors=Yoshida S, Taniguchi M, Suemoto T, Oka T, He X, Shiosaka S | title = cDNA cloning and expression of a novel serine protease, TLSP | journal = Biochim Biophys Acta | volume = 1399 | issue = 2–3 | pages = 225–8 |date=Oct 1998 | pmid = 9765601 | doi = 10.1016/s0167-4781(98)00116-x}}{{cite journal |vauthors=Yousef GM, Scorilas A, Diamandis EP | title = Genomic organization, mapping, tissue expression, and hormonal regulation of trypsin-like serine protease (TLSP PRSS20), a new member of the human kallikrein gene family | journal = Genomics | volume = 63 | issue = 1 | pages = 88–96 |date=Apr 2000 | pmid = 10662548 | doi = 10.1006/geno.1999.6072 }}{{cite journal |vauthors=Lundwall A, Band V, Blaber M, Clements JA, Courty Y, Diamandis EP, Fritz H, Lilja H, Malm J, Maltais LJ, Olsson AY, Petraki C, Scorilas A, Sotiropoulou G, Stenman UH, Stephan C, Talieri M, Yousef GM | title = A comprehensive nomenclature for serine proteases with homology to tissue kallikreins | journal = Biol Chem | volume = 387 | issue = 6 | pages = 637–41 |date=Jun 2006 | pmid = 16800724 | doi = 10.1515/BC.2006.082 | s2cid = 436200 | url = https://epub.ub.uni-muenchen.de/17786/1/bc.2006.082.pdf }}{{cite journal | title = Proceedings of the 1st International Symposium on Kallikreins, Lausanne, Switzerland, September 1-3, 2005 | journal = Biol Chem | volume = 387 | issue = 6 | pages = 635–824 |date=Jun 2006 | pmid = 16800723 | doi = 10.1515/BC.2006.081 | last1 = Diamandis | first1 = Eleftherios P. | last2 = Deperthes | first2 = David | last3 = Lundwall | first3 = Åke | s2cid = 83910246 }}{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: KLK11 kallikrein-related peptidase 11| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=11012}}

Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Alternate splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding two different isoforms which are differentially expressed.
