Both KSOP and KSOP-FM have broadcast country music since their first air dates. KSOP initially operated during the day only. Today the Hilton family continues operating KSOP and KSOP-FM.
From December 1964 through spring 2002, KSOP was a simulcast of KSOP-FM. Around June 26, 2002, KSOP - AM flipped to the current classic country format.[http://www.oldradio.com/archives/stations/slc-hist.htm Broadcast History - Salt Lake Radio]{{Cite web|url=http://radioutah.blogspot.com/2002/06/|title = Radio in Utah}}
