Kaimata is a locality in Taranaki, New Zealand. Inglewood is about 7.5 km to the west. According to the 2013 New Zealand census, the Kaimata statistical area has a population of 2,778, an increase of 177 people since the 2006 census. There were 1,428 males and 1,353 females. Figures have been rounded and may not add up to totals.{{NZ Quickstats2013|14146|Kaimata}} The statistical area covers a large region around and to the east of Inglewood, not just the locality of Kaimata.
