It is the first outdoor inclined lift in Finland.

Technical problems

The funicular has suffered from numerous technical difficulties throughout its lifetime, with downtimes extending sometimes to weeks.{{Cite web|url=https://yle.fi/a/3-11575015|website=Yle uutiset|title=Turun funikulaari liikkuu taas!
