Kari Liimo (born 6 March 1944) is a Finnish basketball player. Liimo is the first Finnish basketball player to be drafted in National Basketball Association (NBA), by Los Angeles Lakers in 1969 NBA draft, as the 7th round 12th pick.[https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/liimbka01.html K.Liimo], basketballreference.com However, he didn't play in the league, as it could have threatened his position in the Finland national team.
