Biography

Cullen began cycling after she began a project whilst studying to become an Architect at the Glasgow School of Art. She hypothetically designed a velodrome and visited Manchester Velodrome, where she had a go at riding the track. Cullen enjoyed the experience so much she began cycling at Meadowbank Stadium once she had returned to Edinburgh.{{cite web| url=http://www.velodrome.org.uk/kateculleninterview.html| title=Kate Cullen Interview| publisher=The Velodrome| access-date=16 June 2008| archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120209102405/http://www.velodrome.org.uk/kateculleninterview.html| archive-date=9 February 2012| url-status=dead}}
