Kawauchi Station is served by the {{Convert|13.9|km|mi|abbr=on}} Sendai Subway Tōzai Line between {{STN|Yagiyama Zoological Park|x}} and {{STN|Arai|x|Miyagi}}, and is located {{Convert|3.7|km|mi|abbr=on}} from the western terminus of the line at Yagiyama Zoological Park Station. The station is numbered "T03".
Station layout
The station has one island platform serving two tracks on the third basement ("B3F") level. The ticket barriers are located on the second basement ("B2F") level.
