Biography

He was born in 1971 in Saigon, South Vietnam, and immigrated to the United States at the age of three and a half with his family.{{cite web|title=About|url=http://www.subtraction.com/about/|work=subtraction.com|publisher=Khoi Vinh|accessdate=29 November 2010}} He grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He attended Otis College of Art and Design, graduating with a major in Graphic Design in 1993. In November 2011, the company launched Mixel, an iPad app that allows users to create "art".
