Notification of the Delimitation Commission of India |date=30 August 1954|place=New Delhi |page=366 (376)}} It was replaced and subsumed by the constituencies of Baisinga and Bangriposi. It was reserved for the Scheduled Tribes.

The extent of Khunta constituency comprised Khunta police station of Kaptipada sub-division, and Similipal and Kuliana police stations of Sadar sub-division.
