Kim Thomas Norkett (born 24 December 1955) is a Welsh former cricketer and rugby player. Norkett was a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast bowler.
Educated at Monmouth School, Norkett impressed for the Welsh Schools representative side.{{cite web |title=Kim Norkett |url=https://glamorgancricketarchives.com/kim-norkett/ |website=Glamorgan Cricket Archive |access-date=5 December 2023 |date=12 July 2020}} He made his first and only List A appearance for Glamorgan against Hampshire at Basingstoke in 1974.{{cite web |title=Hampshire v Glamorgan, 25 August 1974 |url=https://wisden.com/matches/scorecard/186161/hampshire-v-glamorgan-at-basingstoke-john-player-league-25-aug-1974 |website=Wisden |access-date=5 December 2023}} In this match, Norkett failed to score any runs after being caught by Bob Stephenson. He claimed a single wicket, that of Gordon Greenidge, at the cost of 34 runs over 8 overs.
Rugby
A scrum-half, Norkett captained Durham University RFC, Durham County and the English Universities side. In 1994, Norkett was falsely accused of a sex offence on a minor, which resulted in him losing his coaching job at Stonyhurst College.{{cite news |last1=Doogan |first1=Brian |title=Norkett tackles the future! |url=https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/6195531.norkett-tackles-future/ |access-date=5 December 2023 |work=Lancashire Telegraph |date=12 October 1996 |language=en}} He was eventually cleared after a four-day trial.
In a coaching capacity, Norkett has worked with the Welsh women's national team and the Wales rugby sevens team.
