King Ferry is a hamlet in the town of Genoa, Cayuga County, New York, United States. The community is located at the intersection of New York State Route 90 and New York State Route 34B, {{convert|16.4|mi}} north of Ithaca. History

The "King Family" ran a ferry (hinting it's name) across Cayuga. The terminal was named "King's Ferry Station" and the post office which opened around in 1807.

The name of "King Ferry" was by the "King Family" resulting in the name.

Some economic activity happened when it was just starting. There were tons of grist mills and saw mills that quickly spreaded across the Finger Lakes, and across the United States. Tons of machines were manufactured in the town of Genoa, (and King Ferry, including all of New York... The industrial revolution was still a big thing)

Northville

Northville was King Ferry's former name, being used as long as 1827.
