It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Krzywda.{{TERYT}} It lies approximately {{convert|24|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south-west of Łuków and {{convert|83|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} north-west of the regional capital Lublin.
