| image_caption = Nona was a saw mill town in Vernon Parish. The Post Office was established in 1909 and discontinued in 1921. James A. Grant Sr. was the first Postmaster. At one time there was a Nona Lumber Mill in near by Leesville. One report has Nona was renamed Kurthwood when Joseph H. Kurth built a lumber mill at Nona about 1920. Kurth was the Postmaster in Kurthwood.
