History
Started as a small blog, L'union Suite was created by Whenda "Wanda" Tima-Gilles (born in Cap-Haïtien and residing in Florida) to provide a platform to connect with other Haitian-Americans who felt disconnected from Haitian culture as she did.{{cite web|url=https://www.bonappetit.com/story/important-get-recipes-right|title=Why It's So Important to Get Recipes Right: On taking pride in food and community|editor=Chopra, Sonia|date=18 December 2020|publisher=Bon Appétit|access-date=9 April 2021}}{{cite web|url=https://islandoriginsmag.com/millennial-caribbean-businesswomen/|title=These Caribbean Businesswomen Are Changing The Game|editor=Atkins, Attiya|date=9 April 2020|publisher=Island Origins Magazine|access-date=9 April 2021}} L'union Suite highlights positive and uplifting stories about Haiti and its diaspora.{{cite book|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=OF46DwAAQBAJ|title=Lakay - A Journey of Struggle, Perseverance, and Hope|editor=Frederick, David|page=135|year=2017|publisher=FriesenPress|isbn=9781525512704|access-date=9 April 2021}}
