La Revue du vin de France is a French magazine on wine published monthly. The publication has been described by wine critic Jancis Robinson as "France's only serious wine magazine".{{Cite web|author=Jancis Robinson|url=http://www.jancisrobinson.com/articles/jr800|title=Basic bordeaux 1998|date= April 8, 2002}}

Following the magazine's acquisition by Groupe Marie Claire in 2004, long-affiliated wine critics Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve left the publication citing reasons of editorial differences.{{Cite web|last= Lechmere|first= Adam, Decanter.com |title= Bettane and Desseauve 'will definitely' quit Revue |url= http://www.decanter.com/wine-news/bettane-and-desseauve-will-definitely-quit-revue-101079/ |date= July 16, 2004}}{{Cite web |last= Robinson |first= Jancis, jancisrobinson.com |url= http://www.jancisrobinson.com/articles/inside1004 |title= Bettane and Desseauve to leave RVF |date= October 4, 2004 |access-date= March 21, 2008 |archive-date= March 8, 2008 |archive-url= https://web.archive.org/web/20080308043537/http://www.jancisrobinson.com/articles/inside1004 |url-status= dead }}

Its editor Denis Saverot accused the French government of contempt for French culture, after a Paris court ruled that a Le Parisien article on Champagne was considered advertising subject to the Evin law, regulating alcohol and tobacco advertising.{{Cite web|author=Oliver Styles|title=Revue du Vin de France editor attacks French government, winemakers|url=http://www.decanter.com/news/177037.html|date=January 31, 2008|access-date=March 21, 2008|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090913070906/http://www.decanter.com/news/177037.html|archive-date=September 13, 2009|url-status=dead}}
