Lagoon catamaran is a brand of twin-hulled boats that are designed and produced in Bordeaux, France.
The company began in 1984 as a specialist multihull division of Jeanneau, a volume monohull constructor. Jeanneau sold the division to Construction Navale Bordeaux (CNB), which was purchased by Beneteau in 1995, another French boat manufacturer.[https://www.themultihullgroup.com/about-lagoon/ "About Lagoon catamarans"]{{cite web|url= https://sailboatdata.com/builder/lagoon-catamaran|title= Lagoon Catamaran|access-date = 20 March 2023|last= McArthur| first = Bruce |work = sailboatdata.com|year = 2023|archive-url= https://archive.today/20221218201237/https://sailboatdata.com/builder/lagoon-catamaran|archive-date= 18 December 2022|url-status= live}}{{cite web|url= https://sailboat.guide/lagoon|title= Lagoon Catamaran|access-date= 20 March 2023|author= Sea Time Tech, LLC|work= sailboat.guide|year= 2023|archive-url= https://archive.today/20221218201350/https://sailboat.guide/lagoon|archive-date= 18 December 2022|url-status= live}}{{cite web|url = https://www.boat-specs.com/sailing/builders/lagoon|title = Lagoon Sailboat builder|access-date = 20 March 2023|work = Boat-Specs.com|year= 2023|archive-url= https://archive.today/20230119203247/https://www.boat-specs.com/sailing/builders/lagoon|archive-date= 19 January 2023|url-status= live}}{{cite web|url= https://www.cruisingworld.com/sailboats/lagoon-570-lap-luxury-cat/|title= Lagoon 570|access-date= 22 March 2023|last= Murphy|first= Tim|work= Cruising World|date= 1 November 2002|archive-url= https://archive.today/20230322194716/https://www.cruisingworld.com/sailboats/lagoon-570-lap-luxury-cat/|archive-date= 22 March 2023|url-status= live}}

Since the Lagoon 39 and 52 in 2012, the mast of all Lagoon catamarans does not rest on the partition wall but is located further aft, in order to increase the size and ease-of-use of the self-tacking jib hence improving the mainsail/headsail arrangement and overall performance.[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyahXreLaWU Multihull Designer - Vincent Lauriot-Prévost]
Lagoon boats are made of balsa wood core sandwiched between fiberglass layers which are vacuum infusion molded. Cabinetry is made of plywood.
