Lake Waubesa is one of the four major lakes in Dane County, Wisconsin that surround the city of Madison.{{cite GNIS|1576307|Lake Waubesa|31 December 2020}} The lake has a surface area of {{Convert|2074|acre|km2}} and a max depth of {{Convert|38|ft|abbr=on}}.[http://dnr.wi.gov/lakes/lakepages/LakeDetail.aspx?wbic=803700 Lake Waubesa]

This lake is fed via the Yahara River Watershed and 9 Springs Wastewater Effluent.

In 2013, the Wisconsin state record Yellow bass was caught in Lake Waubesa.
