Early life

Distin was born and raised in the Hanover Parish in Jamaica.

Secondary/High School

Distin competed for Hydel High School at the Jamaica track and field high school championship known as "Champs" {{cite web |url=https://12thman.com/sports/mens-track-and-field/roster/lamara-distin/10249 |title=Lamara Distin - Track and Field}}

Post Secondary/University
