Lamont J. The 4th ward includes parts of the Douglas, Kenwood, and Near South Side neighborhoods.
From 2019 to 2023, he served as a state representative for the 5th district in the Illinois House of Representatives. Early career and education

In 2023 was elected to the Chicago City Council.
