Torture video
In November 2021, the ABC reported an incident of "bastardisation" of a Royal Australian Air Force recruit in 2020. Video of the incident showed the recruit being tied up and tortured by another serviceman. Police reportedly found that "a criminal offence could not be determined at the time". The recruit, now retired, claims that the incident has destroyed him.{{cite news |last= Vincent |first= Michael|date= 23 November 2021|title= Video reveals horrific 'bastardisation' of recruit at Victoria's Latchford army barracks |url= https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-11-23/video-reveals-bastardisation-of-recruit-at-army-base/100639062 |work= ABC News|location= |access-date= 24 November 2021}}{{Cite news|url=https://www.news.com.au/national/victoria/news/military-recruit-allegedly-tortured-on-video-at-victorian-barracks/news-story/d9d4a4e24e9d09be87fb7c04a584c3f2|title = Dutton responds to recruit's 'torture' video|newspaper =News.com.au|date = 23 November 2021}}
