History

The building, which was designed by Robert Matthew Johnson Marshall, formed part of the first phase of the intended re-development of the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh{{efn|Together with the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion}} and was built between 1976{{cite web|url=https://historic-hospitals.com/gazetteer/edinburgh/|title=Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh|accessdate=1 January 2019}} and 1981.{{cite web|url=http://www.doorsopendays.org.uk/places/edinburgh/edinburgh-dental-hospital/|title=Edinburgh Dental Hospital|publisher=Doors Open Days|accessdate=1 January 2019}} The Edinburgh Dental Institute moved to the building from Chambers Street in 1997. Services

It is used for outpatient services by ear, nose and throat, dermatology and orthopaedic departments.
