Lazarus Kaimbi (born 12 August 1988) is a Namibian professional footballer who plays as a striker.
Club career
Kaimbi joined South African club Jomo Cosmos from Ramblers F.C. of Namibia in November 2006.
On November 9, he scored the 3 goals in the 2014 Thai FA Cup final against Chonburi, to help Bangkok Glass to win their first ever Thai FA Cup trophy. This was considered a huge upset considering that Chonburi had just missed out on the League title and Bangkok Glass came into the match with the statistically worst defense in Thailand's top division.{{cite web |last=Williams |first=Paul |title=Bangkok Glass overcome Chonburi to claim Thai FA Cup |url=http://footballchannel.asia/2014/11/10/post296/ |work=Football Channel Asia |date=10 November 2014 |accessdate=2 August 2015 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20171116010310/http://footballchannel.asia/2014/11/10/post296/ |archive-date=16 November 2017 |url-status=dead }}
In June 2018, Kaimbi signed with Malaysia Super League team Kelantan, and made his debut on 5 June in a league match against Kedah.He leaves Kelantan FC in the end of season of 2020.{{cite web|last=Ismail|first=Izzali|title=Kelantan aibkan Kedah di Alor Setar|url=https://www.bharian.com.my/sukan/bola/2018/06/434580/kelantan-aibkan-kedah-di-alor-setar|publisher=Berita Harian|language=Malay |date=6 June 2018|accessdate=6 June 2018}}
International career
As a member of the Namibia national football team, Kaimbi competed with the team at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations. He scored twice in Namibia's win over Djibouti in the first round of African qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in November 2011.{{Cite web|url=https://www.fifa.com/worldcup/preliminaries/africa/matches/round=258330/match=300174495/report.html|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120817052437/http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/preliminaries/africa/matches/round=258330/match=300174495/report.html|url-status=dead|archive-date=August 17, 2012|title=2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™: Namibia-Djibouti - Report |last=FIFA.com|website=FIFA.com|language=en-GB|access-date=2018-05-14}}
