History

Tame One and Cage met through Robert "Kell's Bells" Kelly on the now-defunct Eastern Conference Records. Their relationship grew from both being natural fans of the others' work, and a desire to collaborate. After Tame One met Cage, the two rappers eventually founded another collective, The Weathermen, along with El-P, Breeze Brewin, and Aesop Rock, among others.{{Cite news|url=http://riotsound.com/interview/tame-one/|title=Tame One Interview: OG Bobby Johnson - RiotSound|newspaper=RiotSound|language=en-US|access-date=2017-01-21}} Leak Bros made their debut on Cage's Weatherproof EP and Tame One's When Rappers Attack, both released in 2003. As a whole, their songs involve the use of and effects of the drug PCP, hence their name "Leak Brothers".{{Cite news|url=http://hiphopdx.com/reviews/id.474/title.devin-the-dude-leak-bros-capital-d-johnny-five#|title=Devin The Dude, Leak Bros - Capital D, Johnny Five|newspaper=HipHopDX|language=en-US|access-date=2017-01-21}} In 2004, the duo released the album Waterworld on Eastern Conference Records.{{Cite web|url=http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/6717429/a/waterworld.htm|title=Leak Bros - Waterworld CD Album|website=www.cduniverse.com|access-date=2017-01-21}} While since then they have not released any more Leak Bros albums, Tame One has said that he and Cage have remained friends.{{Cite news|url=https://shabooty.com/shabooty-interview-series-tame-one-f64260e7509#.ciiqwznyi|title=Shabooty Interview Series: TAME ONE|date=2009-06-02|newspaper=Shabooty - Howard Stern, Comedy & Hip-Hop Music|access-date=2017-01-21}} Tame One died on November 5, 2022.
