Lee, an All-Korea singles champion, was active on tour in the 1970s.{{cite news |title=이순오 첫 우승 |url=https://www.joongang.co.kr/article/1416463 |work=JoongAng Ilbo |date=8 September 1975 |language=ko}} In 1972 she won the Hong Kong Hardcourt mixed doubles title (with Colin Dibley).{{cite news |title=Anderson Gains Tennis Title |url=https://www.newspapers.com/image/675987706 |work=The Kansas City Star |date=3 April 1972}} She appeared in singles and doubles main draws at the 1973 Australian Open. In 1974 she won two medals for South Korea at the Asian Games in Tehran, a gold in the team event and silver in women's doubles.
