Lenax mirandus is a species of beetles in the family Monotomidae, the only extant species in the genus Lenax.[http://insects.tamu.edu/research/collection/hallan/Arthropoda/Insects/Coleoptera/Family/Monotomidae.txt Monotomidae Species List] at Joel Hallan’s Biology Catalog. Texas A&M University. Retrieved on 17 May 2012. It is endemic to New Zealand.
