Early life and education
Leslie Shows was born in 1977 in Manteca, California.{{cite web|title=Leslie Shows|url=http://www.sfmoma.org/explore/collection/artists/102092|website=www.sfmoma.org|publisher=San Francisco Museum of Modern Art|accessdate=17 March 2015}} Her childhood in Juneau, Alaska had an intense impact on the work she would create as an adult. Work
