Li Qianfu

Li Qianfu ({{zh|t=李潛夫}}), courtesy name Xingdao (行道), was a 14th-century Chinese playwright of the Yuan dynasty. His works include The Chalk Circle ({{Zh|c=灰闌記|labels=no}}) which was used as the basis for Bertolt Brecht's play The Caucasian Chalk Circle (1948).{{Cite book |last=Zhang |first=Wei |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=YhHcDwAAQBAJ |title=Chinese Adaptations of Brecht: Appropriation and Intertextuality |date=2020-04-08 |publisher=Springer Nature |isbn=978-3-030-37778-6 |pages=10–11 |language=en}} He notably kept much to himself, choosing living a life of seclusion in the countryside. He is said to have died around 1350 AD.
