Life on Venus Ave. was a Canadian television series, which aired on MuchMusic and Citytv in the 1990s."From Venus with love (and lots of mush)". Vancouver Sun, August 5, 1992. Hosted by Ziggy Lorenc, the series mixed informational and comedic segments on love and sex with romantic music videos."Banishing boredom: At its best, Life on Venus Ave., with host Ziggy Lorenc, gives us irreverence, spontaneity and glamour. At its worst, it resembles a sort of TV Cosmopolitan". The Globe and Mail, November 16, 1991.

The series premiered in 1991, as an updated version of Lorenc's earlier romantic video series MushMusic."The Specialty Channels 1991 Fall Preview". Toronto Star, September 7, 1991. The series concept was that Lorenc was actually an extraterrestrial being from the planet Venus, and was learning about human concepts of love and sexuality."MuchMusic's Ziggy zags with Life on Venus Ave.". The series was dropped from MuchMusic in 1994 when Lorenc left that network,"Much is less another veejay". Toronto Star, September 25, 1994. but continued on Citytv until 1996. Lorenc subsequently published the memoir Life on Venus Ave. (and other true confessions of a wash 'n' wear virgin) in 1997."Ziggy zany persona not made for the page Interviewer's perky character has made her a focal point for people who loathe TV, though she deserves better. One of the show's writers, Rod Gonsalves-Quesnel, went on to write a fashion column for The Globe and Mail.
