The Lighthouse Point Lighthouse is an active lighthouse in Beaver Harbour, New Brunswick on Drews Head, as it was known, on the western side of the bay.{{Cite rowlett|nb|access-date=22 June 2020}}
History
The first lighthouse was inaugurated on 15 January 1876 and consisted of a white wooden quadrangular tower with balcony and red lantern attached to the keeper's house; the light was at {{convert|45|ft|m}} of height above sea level and emitted a fixed white light.{{cite book|title=The London Gazette|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=extKAQAAMAAJ&dq=Lighthouse+Point+Lighthouse+beaver+harbour+1876&pg=RA1-PA414|access-date=2021-11-09|date=1876-02-01|publisher=Great Britain|page=414}} In 1900 was activated a hand foghorn and in 1905 a seventh-order lens and lamp substituted the original lamp and reflectors; the new fixed white light was visible up to {{convert|10|nmi}}. In 1915 a fourth-order lens was set up and in the 1960s a new metal square pyramidal skeletal tower was built to substitute the older.
The current lighthouse was erected in 1984 and consist of a {{convert|8|m|ft}} fiberglass cylindrical tower with balcony and lantern. The light is positioned at {{convert|14.5|m|ft}} above sea level and emits one white flash 3 seconds long in a 6 seconds period visible up to a distance of {{convert|12|nmi}}.
