Beaven represented Great Britain in the 1973 Wightman Cup.{{cite news |title=U.S. Takes Wightman Tennis, 5‐2 |url=https://www.nytimes.com/1973/08/27/archives/us-takes-wightman-tennis-52.html |work=The New York Times |date=27 August 1973}} She twice reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon, and she was a doubles quarter-finalist at the 1974 Australian Open.
