Concepts

LG E-Book is a proof of concept design that was presented by LG in 2006.https://www.engadget.com/2006-12-02-lg-debuts-ebook-concept-laptop-with-oled-screen-liquid-fuel.html {{Bare URL inline|date=August 2024}} Two prototypes have been built so far, but a release date was never announced. The laptop uses an organic light-emitting diode screen instead of the traditional LCD. The laptop is powered by a methyl alcohol solution instead of the more conventional Li-ion batteries seen in contemporary laptops. It had a keypad made of a single OLED panel similar to LG Chocolate phone.{{Cite web |date=2006-12-31 |title=LG e-Book Laptop Concept Features Fuel Battery and OLED |url=http://laptoping.com/lg-e-book-fuel-oled.html |access-date=2023-11-07 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20061231152606/http://laptoping.com/lg-e-book-fuel-oled.html |archive-date=2006-12-31 }}
