{{NBL1 West Awards}}
The champion teams of the NBL1 West, formerly the State Basketball League (SBL), are determined annually by a grand final weekend hosted by Basketball Western Australia. All grand finals have been played in a one-game championship decider, except in 1995 when a best-of-three series was used.{{cite web|url=http://sbl.asn.au/past-champions/|title=Past Champions|work=SBL.asn.au|url-status=live|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20200814084212/http://sbl.asn.au/past-champions/|archive-date=14 August 2020}} In 2010, the WA Basketball Centre hosted the grand finals for the first time.{{cite web|url=http://basketballwa.asn.au/blog/2010/08/09/sbl-grand-final-tickets-now-on-sale/|title=SBL GRAND FINAL TICKETS NOW ON SALE|work=BasketballWA.asn.au|date=9 August 2010|access-date=15 October 2017|url-status=dead|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20171015093416/http://basketballwa.asn.au/blog/2010/08/09/sbl-grand-final-tickets-now-on-sale/|archive-date=15 October 2017}} In 2024, the grand final host venue shifted to Perth Arena.{{cite web|last=O'Donoghue|first=Craig|url=https://thewest.com.au/sport/basketball/nbl1-west-grand-final-to-be-played-at-rac-arena-as-basketball-wa-locks-in-the-stadium-for-august-c-14609023|title=NBL1 West Grand Final to be played at RAC Arena as Basketball WA locks in the stadium for August|work=The West Australian|date=9 May 2024|url-status=dead|archive-url=https://archive.today/20240509101339/https://thewest.com.au/sport/basketball/nbl1-west-grand-final-to-be-played-at-rac-arena-as-basketball-wa-locks-in-the-stadium-for-august-c-14609023|archive-date=9 May 2024}}{{cite news |title=West Grand Final returns to RAC Arena |url=https://nbl1.com.au/article/west-grand-final-returns-to-rac-arena |access-date=17 December 2024 |work=nbl1.com.au |date=17 December 2024}}
