Various kinds of references have been included alongside self-contained bibliographies and research reports on Catullus. Some bibliographies are on related subjects such as Lesbia (a major character in many of Catullus's poems, generally thought to be a pseudonym for Clodia) or the {{lang|la|Codex Traguriensis}} (a 15th-century manuscript in the {{lang|fr|Bibliothèque nationale de France|italic=no}} containing Catullus's poetry); others are on broader topics such as Roman elegy, meter, or Latin literature as a whole. Certain books on Catullus have had their references identified as being particularly useful from a bibliographic point of view. Tertiary sources such as {{ill|Mauriz Schuster|de}}'s entry in {{lang|de|Paulys Realencyclopädie der classischen Altertumswissenschaft}} also have been cited for their review of past scholarship. Items are added to this list only if other sources have specifically cited them within broader metabibliographic discussion of bibliographies and research surveys of Catullus.
