List of largest cats

{{Short description|none}}

{{Use DMY dates|date=November 2023}}

This is a list of extant species in the Felidae family, which aims to evaluate their size, ordered by maximum reported weight and size of wild individuals on record. The list does not contain cat hybrids, such as the liger or tigon, nor extinct species such as Panthera fossilis and Smilodon populator, which are suggested to have exceeded living felids in size.{{Cite journal |last1=Marciszak |first1=Adrian |last2=Gornig |first2=Wiktoria |date=September 2024 |title=From giant to dwarf: A trend of decreasing size in Panthera spelaea (Goldfuss, 1810) and its likely implications |journal=Earth History and Biodiversity |language=en |volume=1 |pages=100007 |doi=10.1016/j.hisbio.2024.100007 |doi-access=free}}{{cite journal |last1=Manzuetti |first1=A. |last2=Perea |first2=D. |last3=Jones |first3=W. |last4=Ubilla |first4=M. |last5=Rinderknecht |first5=A. |date=2020 |title=An extremely large saber-tooth cat skull from Uruguay (late Pleistocene–early Holocene, Dolores Formation): body size and paleobiological implications |url=https://www.academia.edu/73338127 |journal=Alcheringa: An Australasian Journal of Palaeontology |volume=44 |issue=2 |pages=332–339 |bibcode=2020Alch...44..332M |doi=10.1080/03115518.2019.1701080 |s2cid=216505747}}
