Gerald Loder, 1st Baron Wakehurst, was the fifth son of the first Baronet.

The Heir Presumptive is Robert Reginald Loder (born 1943), the present holder's younger brother. His Heir Apparent is his eldest son Christopher Giles Loder (born 1968).
