Lucilectric would go on to record two more albums and eventually separated in 1999.

History

Lucilectric was created in Berlin in 1993 by Luci van Org and {{ill|Ralf Goldkind|de}}, arguably as part of the revival of the German language rock/pop movement in the early 90s, which came on the heels of the Neue Deutsche Welle but well before the Neue Deutsche Härte emerged from the underground. Other similar groups from that same period which attained bigger commercial success through the decade and beyond include Tic Tac Toe and Die Prinzen. Although popular, Lucilectric were criticized at the time by some observers of German culture to be representative of the "trivialization of femininity".{{Harvnb|Sanford|2001|p=210}}

After Lucilectric, Luci van Org would go on to work as a television presenter and host.{{cite web|url=http://lastfm.spiegel.de/music/Lucilectric |title=Last.fm - Kultur - SPIEGEL ONLINE - Nachrichten |access-date=31 January 2009 |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090917185018/http://lastfm.spiegel.de/music/Lucilectric |archive-date=17 September 2009 }} In 2001 she formed the gothic alternative band Übermutter,{{cite news|url=http://www.spiegel.de/kultur/musik/0,1518,545788,00.html|title=Last.fm - Kultur - SPIEGEL ONLINE - Nachrichten - Lucilectric|newspaper=Der Spiegel |date=7 April 2008 |access-date=21 February 2009}}{{cite web|url=http://www.mtv.de/music/19345489/bio|title=MTV\Biografie\Üebermutter\music|access-date=21 February 2009|last=Biography of van Org, with background on Lucilectric|website=MTV Germany|url-status=dead|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090917111913/http://www.mtv.de/music/19345489/bio|archive-date=17 September 2009}} while Goldkind continued to produce music, most notably for Nina Hagen and Die Fantastischen Vier{{cite web|url={{AllMusic|class=artist|id=p226573/songs|pure_url=yes}}|title=allmusic (((Ralf Goldkind > Songs > Songs Composed By)))|access-date=21 February 2009}}
