METeOR

METeOR (Metadata Online Registry), Australia’s repository for national metadata standards for health, housing and community services statistics and information. METeOR is a Metadata registry based on the 2003 version of the ISO/IEC 11179 Information technology - Metadata registries standard. In August 2018, the AIHW entered an agreement with the CSIRO for the supply of a new platform for the METeOR registry,{{cite web|url=http://meteor.aihw.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/181162|title=METeOR home page|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180927014821/http://meteor.aihw.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/181162|archive-date=2018-09-27}} this was due to be delivered in 2020. On 29 April 2022, the new METEOR platform was launched. By launch, over AUD$1.7 million was spent between July 2019 and June 2022{{cite web|url=https://www.aihw.gov.au/reports/corporate-publications/annual-report-2021-22/contents/summary|title=2021-2022 Annual Report, page 83 "Software under development in 2021 relates to the project to replace the METeOR system.
