History

In 2004, to circumvent the block in place in China, a self-censored branch mitbbs.cn{{cite web|url=http://mitbbs.cn|title=未名空间.中国|url-status=dead|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20060221010138/http://mitbbs.cn/|archivedate=2006-02-21}} was opened to facilitate access by users in China.
