M/V ARC Independence, formerly M/V Faust is a large ro-ro car carrier built in 2007 by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering for Wallenius Lines AB, Sweden. It is currently (since 2018 or 2019) operated by American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier (ARC), having formerly served with Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics.{{cite web |url=http://www.walleniuslines.com/Global/FleetImages/Faust%204444.pdf |title=MV Faust |publisher=Wallenius Lines AB |accessdate=2 March 2012 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20131006131812/http://www.walleniuslines.com/Global/FleetImages/Faust%204444.pdf |archivedate=6 October 2013 }} It is one of the largest car carriers in the world.

It is sometimes incorrectly reported that in 2004, the M/V Faust was renamed to M/V Liberty. This is due to multiple vessels having carried the name Faust. The Faust which was renamed to Liberty was built by Oshima Shipbuilding in Japan and launched in 1985; at 660' in length and 52,000 gross tons, she was significantly smaller than the vessel which is now the ARC Independence.{{Cite web|title=Liberty [ex-Faust]|url=https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ship/faust.htm|access-date=2022-02-18|website=www.globalsecurity.org}}

Faust appeared in a 2008 episode of the Discovery Channel's documentary series Mighty Ships during a voyage between the UK and United States.{{cite web|title=Mighty Ships |url=http://www.discoveryhd.ca/shows/showdetails.aspx?sid=9955 |website=DiscoveryHD.ca. |publisher=CTV Global Media |accessdate=4 August 2014 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20080915092424/http://www.discoveryhd.ca/shows/showdetails.aspx?sid=9955 |archivedate=September 15, 2008 }}
