In the closing stages she pulled clear and won by six lengths from Migwar.{{cite web|url=https://www.racingpost.com/results/28/kempton/1996-04-08/201847 |work=Racing Post |title=Results From The 1.40 Race At Kempton |date=8 April 1996 |accessdate=2014-07-29}} Magnificient Style's next start came in the Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket. She started as the favourite, but Pat Eddery could not get her to settle in the race and she finished third, five and a half lengths behind winner Pricket.{{cite web|url=https://www.racingpost.com/results/38/newmarket/1996-05-05/201711 |work=Racing Post |title=Pretty Polly Stakes result |date=5 May 1996 |accessdate=2014-07-29}} Pricket then went on to finish second in the Oaks on her next start.{{cite web|url=https://www.racingpost.com/profile/horse/106101/pricket |title=Pricket |publisher=Racing Post |accessdate=2014-07-29}}
