Maj Bring

Ebba Maria Bring, better known as Maj (29 August 1880 in Uppsala – 5 December 1971 in Stockholm) was a Swedish painter and model. She was the daughter of Sven Casper Bring.{{cite web|url=https://skbl.se/en/article/MajBring|title=skbl.se – Ebba Maria (Maj) Bring|publisher=|accessdate=29 May 2018}}
Bring was educated at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, and she's represented in the collection of the Moderna Museet there with eleven works, seven paintings and four drawings.{{cite web|url=http://sis.modernamuseet.se/sv/view/objects/asimages/artist$0040150?t:state:flow=1cbd0076-58bd-48f0-b711-95b31ed4b1fb|title=Moderna Museet – Collection|website=sis.modernamuseet.se|accessdate=29 May 2018}} Her portrait of Anna Behle is in the portrait collection of Gripsholm Castle.{{cite book|author1=Gripsholm (Museum : Sweden)|author2=Ulf G. Artistically, her style was defined by contact with Henri Matisse, with whom she studied in Paris in 1910. She continued to exhibit until she was nearly 90.
