Maneesh Sharma (born 6 January 1980) is an Indian filmmaker who is known for his work in Hindi films. He has directed films such as Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011), Shuddh Desi Romance (2013), and Fan (2016).
Early life and education
Sharma was born and raised in Delhi, India, where he lived in various parts of the city, such as Pitam Pura. Career
While studying filmmaking in California, Maneesh worked as an associate director for the film Trona in 2004, an English-German student film shot in Los Angeles.

The film earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director.

In 2015, Sharma produced Dum Laga Ke Haisha under the Yash Raj Films banner. It was directed by Sharat Katariya, and starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar.
