The Manitoba wolf (Canis lupus griseoalbus), also known as the grey-white wolf,{{cite book|author=Murray Wrobel |title=Elsevier's Dictionary of Mammals: In Latin, English, German, French and Italian |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=Qn1A9Y1OA2oC&pg=PA69 |accessdate=29 December 2012 |year=2007 |publisher=Elsevier |isbn=978-0-444-51877-4 |pages=69–}} is an extinct subspecies of gray wolf that roamed in the southern Northwest Territories, northern Alberta, Saskatchewan, and south-central Manitoba. This wolf is recognized as a subspecies of Canis lupus in the taxonomic authority Mammal Species of the World (2005).
History
