Marcel Kanarek (born 5 February 1993) is a Polish chess grandmaster (2016).
Biography
In his career, Marcel Kanarek has won five individual medals in Polish Youth Chess Championship: gold (Chotowa 2009 - in the U16 age group), three silver (Bęsia 2006 and Turawa 2007 - both in the U14 age group, Murzasichle 2011 - in the U18 age group) and bronze (Kołobrzeg 2002 - in the U10 age group). In 2007, Marcel Kanarek took third place in the international open chess tournaments played in Novi Sad, Mielno and twice in Koszalin. In 2010, Marcel Kanarek was awarded the FIDE International Master (IM) title and received the FIDE Grandmaster (WM) title five years later.
