Marco Cyncar (born April 13, 1958) is a former Canadian Football League (CFL) wide receiver who played eleven seasons for the Edmonton Eskimos. He was a member of four Grey Cup Championship teams in Edmonton.
Cyncar played for the Edmonton Wildcats of the Canadian Junior Football League{{cite web|url=http://www.footballcanada.com/useredits/File/CJFL|title=CJFL alumni in the CFL|publisher=Football Canada|accessdate=2009-02-16}} {{Dead link|date=October 2010|bot=H3llBot}}{{cite web|url=http://www.bears.ualberta.ca/Football/Men/?pt=news&ID=1208 |title=Eskimos make $400,000 donation to amateur football |date=2004-12-16 |publisher=University of Alberta Athletics |accessdate=2009-02-16 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20061021033657/http://www.bears.ualberta.ca/Football/men/?pt=news&ID=1208 |archivedate=2006-10-21 }} and also university football with the Alberta Golden Bears from 1976 to 1978.{{cite web|url=http://goldenbearsfootball.ca/cfl.php |title=Alberta Golden Bears in Pro Football |publisher=University of Alberta |accessdate=2009-02-16 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20081220171633/http://goldenbearsfootball.ca/cfl.php |archivedate=2008-12-20 }} He was selected by the Eskimos in the 1979 CFL Draft as a territorial exemption and won his first Grey Cup as a member of that year's squad.{{cite web|url=http://www.edmontoneskimoalumni.com/watn_fraietta.htm |title=Emilio Fraietta |last=Nohos |first=Lee |work=Where are they now? |publisher=Edmonton Eskimo Alumni Association |accessdate=2009-02-16 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20080226093511/http://www.edmontoneskimoalumni.com/watn_fraietta.htm |archivedate=2008-02-26 }}
An interesting deal in the 1980 CFL season saw the Eskimos "loan" Cyncar to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for a single season (in which he played that season's Grey Cup game) after which he returned to the Eskimos for the 1981 CFL season. He completed his career in Edmonton gathering three more Grey Cup victories as part of the Eskimos dynasty of that period.{{cite news|url=https://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20051116/BRUNT16/TPSports/Football|title=Eskimos, Tiger-Cats rumour built on logic|last=Brunt|first=Stephen|date=2005-11-16|publisher=Globe and Mail|accessdate=2009-02-16}} {{Dead link|date=October 2010|bot=H3llBot}}
