Marcus Sandell (born 23 September 1987 in Espoo) is a Finnish alpine skier. He represented Finland at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.{{cite web|url=http://www.vancouver2010.com/olympic-alpine-skiing/athletes/marcus-sandell_ath1018305Qm.html |title=Marcus Sandell, Alpine skiing |publisher=Vancouver 2010 |accessdate=23 February 2010}} He suffered serious injury on 28 September 2009 on the training session in nearby Pitztaler glacier, Austria. Due to the crash, his kidney had to be removed at the hospital in Innsbruck.{{cite web|url=http://www.espn.com/olympics/skiing/news/story?id=4514561 |title=Sandell reportedly has kidney removed|work=www.espn.com|date=29 September 2009|accessdate=22 January 2019}} 5 months after his accident, Sandell competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics, and finished at the 19th place in Giant slalom first run. In the second run he skied out and didn't finish the competition.
