Margaretta is a genus of plants in the family Apocynaceae first described as a genus in 1875.[https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/747458#page/123/mode/1up Oliver, Daniel. 1875. Transactions of the Linnean Society of London 29: 111–112, t. 76] A dozen names have been proposed as species within Margaretta, but at present only one, Margaretta rosea, is categorized as "accepted" by The Plant List. Most of the rest are "unresolved," in other words, of uncertain affinity.[http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/search?q=Margaretta The Plant List, Kew Gardens, genus Margaretta] Margaretta rosea is native to Uganda in eastern Africa.[http://www.tropicos.org/Name/2601733 Tropicos, Margaretta rosea Oliv]
