Early life

Which was previously owned by a flower arranger and cookery expert Constance Spry.{{cite book|title=Constance Spry: A biography W. Luscombe, 1975|last1=Coxhead|first1=Elizabeth|date=1975|publisher=William Luscombe|isbn=0860020738}} She mentions the house in her memoirs. She attended Alexandra college like both her mother and grandmother Margaret Dockrell.

Family life

Dockrell was the third child of Henry Morgan Dockrell{{cite web |title=Henry Morgan Dockrell. Her older brother Maurice E. Dockrell{{cite web |title=Maurice E. Dockrell. Her father Henry Morgan Dockrell was also a politician.
