Maria Marello (born 11 March 1961) is a retired Italian discus thrower. She is the coach of the Italian female discus thrower Daisy Osakue,{{cite web|url=http://www.fidal.it/atleta/Daisy-Osakue/dK6RlZaoamQ%3D|title=Daisy Osakue Biografia|publisher=fidal.it|language=it|accessdate=30 July 2018}} and javelin thrower Zahra Bani.

Biography

She won the gold medal at the 1987 Mediterranean Games{{cite web|url=http://www.gbrathletics.com/ic/mg.htm|title=Mediterranean Games|work=GBR Athletics|publisher=Athletics Weekly|accessdate=24 October 2016}} and finished fifth at the 1991 Mediterranean Games.{{citation needed|date=October 2016}} She also competed at the 1987 World Championships without reaching the final.{{World Athletics}}
